A list of bills proposed this year by Merced-area legislators

More than 2,000 bills have been introduced in the state Legislature this year, including those below authored by the lawmakers representing our area.

In coming weeks, the bills will be analyzed and then heard in various committees. Many will not get any further than that. Nearly always, the proposals are amended along the way. In some cases, the language has already changed from what was submitted by the Feb. 22 deadline to introduce bills.
