A great positive article about technology to keep someone alive while waiting for a heart transplant. The sad part is that the cost will not all be covered by the insurance company, and therefore leaves a large gap. This leaves Mr. and Mrs. Moore in a position to look for others to help defray the cost. They are just a few of the many who have to solicit funds in order to get the care they need. In this case they are lucky that there is an agency whose purpose is just that: to solicit funds.
Unless that way of thinking changes, there will always be people who will be in the same position that Mr. and Mrs. Moore find themselves in now.
