With regard to athletes receiving workers comp insurance in California when the athletes only play a few games per year here. This is perfectly acceptable under our system and something that employers deal with and have been dealing with for years. Under the California system, if an employer is deemed to have been 1 percent responsible for an injury, then that employer must pick up 100 percent of the medical costs associated with that injury.

This is but one more reason why businesses flee the state at first opportunity.
