37th annual run
HORNITOS -- The Merced Running Club will host the 37th annual Indian Gulch-Hornitos 2-mile, 5-mile and 10-mile runs with check-in at
7:15 a.m. Saturday. The runs start at 8:30 a.m. Walkers are only allowed in the 2- and 5-mile runs. Each runner will receive a gift. Plaques will be given to the first male and female of each race, with medals three-deep in age groups. Breakfast is at Stag Hall. The proceeds benefit the UC Merced Cross Country Team. Free nursery seminar

Court Appointed Special Advocates of Merced County will hold their annual fund-raiser with a social hour at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. March 22 at the Merced Fairgrounds Pavilion, 900 Martin Luther King Jr. Way. Tickets are $50 per person. The event includes a steak and shrimp dinner, live and silent auctions, and music by Crystal Syphon.
