Richard Lewis: Sequester is not so bad, no matter what they say

The sequester only cuts the rate of growth. Nothing more. Government still will be spending more next year than this year. Why all the painful cuts you read and hear about in the news? Why indeed.

Why has the Transportation Security Administration purchased 1.6 billion .40-caliber and 9-mm bullets? Why has it purchased 2,700 tanks retrofitted for anti-mine activity? Where, in the United States, are there mine fields?

Sen. Rand Paul recently shared a letter from Attorney General Eric Holder who answered his question about using drones to attack American citizens on U.S. soil.

Holder answered "It is possible, I suppose, to imagine an extraordinary circumstance in which it would be necessary and appropriate under the Constitution and applicable laws of the United States for the President to authorize the military to use lethal force within the territory of the United States."

Looking familiar?
