Sacto 911: Woodland police say man stabbed wife as she slept

Woodland police arrested a man for stabbing his wife while she slept with her daughter next to her.

Police said the Guillermo Aldama, 35, stabbed his wife in the upper part of her chest. Officers were dispatched to the Aldama home on West Cross Street about 1 a.m. today.

A police investigation revealed that Aldama stabbed his sleeping spouse with a knife, according to a department press release. Their 9-year-old daughter was next to her during the attack.

The woman was transported to UC Davis Medical Center where she was treated for non life-threatening injuries. Aldama was booked into Yolo County Jail on suspicion of attempted homicide and child endangerment.
