Kids teachers sought

Merced College for Kids will begin in mid-June and is accepting proposals from anyone interested in teaching a class designed for students going into fourth- through eighth-grades. these include performing arts, aquatics, sports camps, fitness, cooking, math, science, language arts, career exploration, art and Spanish. World Dance Classes

Easter Sunrise Service

LIVINGSTON -- The Livingston United Methodist Church will hold its annual Easter Sunrise Service at 6 a.m. Sunday at the church, 11695 Olive Ave. There will be a breakfast served after the service. The regular service will be at 10:30 a.m. There will be an Easter egg hunt for ages kids up to age 12.

Four weeks of tango

The city of Merced Office of Recreation will offer a four-week tango class at 7 p.m. on Thursdays starting Monday at the Senior Community Center, 755 W. 15th St. Cost is $16 for all four weeks, lessons from 7 to 8 p.m. and dance party from 8 to 9 p.m. Space is limited, register today. Scholarship Project

The Central Valley Opportunity Center announces its 2013 Scholarship Project. It is offering scholarships to academically deserving students in Madera, Merced and Stanislaus counties. Habitat yard sale

Habitat for Humanity of Merced County will hold its annual yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 6 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2916 N. McKee Road. Crafters and vendors are welcome and spaces are available for $25. Bring your own canopy, table and chairs. Call (209) 723-2671.
