Time to Fly is coming with Livingston kite fest

LIVINGSTON -- The Knights of Columbus and the city of Livingston will present Time to Fly, the second annual kite festival, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 14 at Livingston Middle School, 101 F St. It is free to the public and there will be many activities, including pie eating contests, face painting, bounce houses, a candy drop and much more. Mature driver class

A Mature Driver Improvement class will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 18 at the Merced Tri-College Center. This is a free class. Space is limited; to register, call (209) 381-6541.

College to hold plant sale

Merced College will hold its annual plant sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 20 at the college's greenhouses. There will be vegetables, herbs, perennials, succulents, fruit, shade trees and more available. Signs will help lead you off M Street. Call (209) 631-2026.

Merced Art Hop

The Merced Art Hop will be from 5 to 9 p.m. April 20 in downtown Merced. There will be a Canal Water Safety Awareness presentation from the Merced Irrigation District and much more. For more, go to www.MercedArtHop.org.

Putt to fight cancer

CHOWCHILLA -- The second annual Cancer Wellness Golf Tournament will be at 1 p.m. April 27 at Pheasant Run Golf Course in Chowchilla. Tickets are $75 and include dinner, golf club certificate and goodie bags. For more information, call (209) 827-1960.

Elton John tribute
