— Law enforcement is on the lookout in the Dos Palos area for a man suspected of murder and attempted murder in Oregon.

Leland Thomas Nicholson Jr., who goes by the nickname Tom, is wanted by law enforcement in Klamath County, Ore., for killing Terry Entriken, 28, and attempting to kill Vanessa Alexander, 36, according to police.

Entriken was shot in the back of the head, according to the Herald and News newspaper in Klamath Falls, Ore. Police are trying to determine a motive for the shootings.

The suspect was tracked to Dos Palos and local police think he's still in the area.

Chief Barry Mann of the Dos Palos Police Department said his agency has been exchanging information with a fugitive task force from Oregon as they try to locate Nicholson. "They want him back and we are eager to give him back," Mann said.

Nicholson, 27, has family in Merced, Fresno and Dos Palos, Mann said.

Nicholson is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall and 240 pounds with short, reddish-brown hair and green eyes. He has a tattoo reading "Nikki" on the right side of his neck and may have other tattoos, police said. His last known address was 4605 Denver Ave., Klamath Falls.

If anyone sees Nicholson, they're asked to call 911. He's considered armed and dangerous, Mann said.
