Carol Campodonica: Military downsizing

April 8, 2013

The United States of America depends on incorporating young adults into the military. Research is needed to find new ways to defend our country against a planned attack by our enemies.

North Korea is a country which could send a missile to wipe out Hawaii or some California cities in the near future. However, Congress and the president seem to ignore the will of the people. The generals who have been on the battlefield have expressed concern over decreasing our military might by downsizing.

Our military is a wonderful welfare program that educates people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds. It provides jobs, on-site training, and it contributes to the community's revenue base.

Encourage the president and Congress not to downsize our military.
