Efrain Rojas: State's lawmakers smug

April 10, 2013

The latest plague affecting schools in California isn't a lack of funding, it's a lack of children to fill them.

In a manner of speaking, the Legislature has made California unfit for human habitation.

With the unraveling of support for high-speed rail, they are failing even at passing boondoggles.

You would never know it from the insider conversations you hear in the Capitol. The delusion of their own grandiosity is so profound, without exaggeration or hyperbole, they really do believe they make the sun shine.

If the sentiment of moral superiority could be measured objectively, our legislators would be the universal constant by which all others would be measured.
