Get coins appraised

Gateway Coin Club of Merced County will celebrate National Coin Week at 7:15 p.m. Thursday at Bear Creek Community Church, 1717 E. Olive Ave. The club will give up to three appraisals per person. Meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of each month at the church. Call (209) 201-6729.

NRA club plans benefit

Friends of the NRA will hold its 13th annual dinner and auction fund-raiser at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Merced County Fairgrounds Pavilion, 900 Martin Luther King Jr. Way. Spring Give Away set

ATWATER -- Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church will hold its Spring Give Away from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, 559 Broadway Ave. Lots of items will be given out, including toys, clothing, household items and more. For more information, call (209) 358-3031.

First Tee kickoff coming

The First Tee, a nationally recognized program for youths ages 5 to 17, will hold a kickoff event at 10 a.m. Saturday at 6333 N. Golf Road. No equipment is necessary and clinics will begin in May. For more information, call (209) 604-4120.

Garden tour planned

LE GRAND -- The Le Grand Community Garden Club will hold Country in Bloom on April 24, including a garden tour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and market vendors from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 16122 Buchanan Hollow Road. Yoga classes available
