A businessman was arrested Monday for allegedly committing improper acts with a minor, police said.

Chester David Hogue, 43, was arrested at 10:44 a.m. on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts on a minor under 14, Cmdr. Ray Reyna Jr. said. Hogue, the owner of Central Valley Geeks on the 900 block of Sixth Street, is free on bail.

Reyna said his department received a complaint against Hogue Monday and subsequently arrested him at his business. Reyna declined to give more details on the case, citing its sensitive nature.

Central Valley Geeks opened as Los Banos Computer Services in 2004 before undergoing a name change in 2010.

In the past, Hogue's computer repair shop has allowed children to stop by and play the latest video gaming systems. However, Reyna said, his business's activity has nothing to do with the allegations he's facing.

"There's nothing to suggest anything occurred at the business," Reyna said.

Anyone with information regarding this case should contact the Los Banos Police Department at (209) 827-7070.
