Two men arrested in connection to Atwater burglaries

April 19, 2013

Two men were arrested Thursday afternoon in connection with a string of burglaries at the Castle Gardens living community, Atwater police reported.

Officers arrested Atwater residents Ronald Hudson Jr., 29, and Adam Martin, 31, after linking them to one of about 20 burglaries over the last four months, said Lt. Sam Joseph.

Hudson Jr. also had a felony warrant for his arrest for probation violations, Joseph said. The two suspects were later booked into the Merced County jail.

During the arrest, officers recovered a laptop from one of the home burglaries, according to Joseph. Most of the burglaries were residential, but there were a few car burglaries.

Joseph said the investigation is ongoing and officers are trying to recover more items that could link the suspects to the other burglaries.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Atwater Police Department at (209) 357-6396.
