DELHI -- An event aimed at uniting the community and helping youth is coming up next weekend.

Delhi's fourth annual Multicultural Festival is set for 1 to 8 p.m. April 27. The event will include a car show, games and food, said organizer Francisca Briones of the nonprofit group Delhi Community Unity.

Cultural dances will include Hawaiian, east-Indian, Hmong, hip-hop and Mexican folkloric, she said. Some local students will participate in the programs.

"We try to include as many cultures as we can," Briones said. "We want to bring everyone together."

Any profits from the festival go toward scholarships for Delhi High School students, she noted. Since the festival started about four years ago, four scholarships have been awarded.

The festival will take place at Delhi High School at 16881 Schendel Ave.
