Road to Glacier Point opens in Yosemite

Sun-Star staffMay 3, 2013

The Glacier Point Road in Yosemite National Park will open for the season at noon today.

There will be limited services available for visitors at Glacier Point, according to a news release from Yosemite National Park. Vault toilets will be available, but there won't be running water. There is no projected opening date for the Bridalveil Creek Campground.

Visitors are urged to drive slowly and cautiously since there may be wildlife near the roads, according to the release. Roads could be wet because of snowmelt.

For 24-hour road and weather information, call (209) 372-0200.
