I bought a license plate from a Turlock fair in 2006; the frame says, "Got Jesus? It's hell without him." Since I have lived in North Dakota and Florida and then back to California, I have gotten notes put on my car asking, "Why does it have to be one religion?" and other religion business cards as personal rebuttal statements. I have always just taken these off my vehicle and moved forward.
Well, today on the way from Hilmar to Atwater my van was pulled over. The officer said to remove the "Got Jesus?" frame. I later examined the plate and you can see that it says ND on it, but he claimed his reason was the bottom of the N was covered so he was unable to tell if it was North Dakota or South Dakota. A total of three years in California and never had an officer pull the van over for that before. What is this world coming to when we are being protected by people who are telling us to remove a reference to God.
