I believe there are bonds formed in this life which should never be compromised or broken. When they are it is unavoidable that the results will be traumatic and horrible.
Some examples of these bonds are between members of police and fire departments, and military members and their government, particularly their commanders and more particularly the commander in chief.
The disgraceful dereliction of duty to those killed in the attacks in Libya is a despicable example of the impotent administration of President Barack Obama.
During my 22 years of military service I always knew, without question, if I were shot down or missing in action members of the U.S. military would come find me and bring me home.
It wasn't even a possibility I would be left. I can't imagine the feeling of betrayal felt in their last minutes of life by the four murdered or the fury of the special forces members who were ordered not to help.
Words are not adequate to describe the disgust I feel at the thought of those men being left to die.
