Barbara D. Ovalle: Dehumanizing law

May 19, 2013

When are we as a nation, whose pledge of allegiance states, "We believe in ... liberty and justice for all," going to wake up to the horrifying fact of what abortion does to the most vulnerable and innocent members of our society? After watching the documentary on Dr. Kermit Gosnell's grisly career, in which he became wealthy by murdering thousands of babies born alive in botched abortions, I shudder to think about the depths of degradation to which we as a nation have sunk.

The whole world condemned Adolph Hitler's extermination of Jews, but with the passage of Roe v. Wade, we are not far from his level of evil. Through the vast amount of money which our government has given to developing nations for "women's reproductive health," we have helped spread abortion throughout the world.

And now that our country has begun to eliminate God from our schools and our public life, we have opened the door to raising our children with no moral values. As a result, we are sadly witnessing the dehumanizing of our nation.
