Regarding community support for the Leila Fowler family and some residents demanding their money back after a son is arrested ("Calaveras reels after boy's arrest," Merced Sun-Star, May 13).

Regardless, the loss has happened. The family has lost their daughter.

Are you serious? You can't see a need? Time out on the gossip! This family is dealing with a life event the size of a tsunami and you want your money back? This is your opportunity to provide a tourniquet of love and compassion to ensure that this family can survive.
