As a 1980 graduate of the U.C. Berkeley School of Political Science, with an emphasis on comparative communism, I know creeping socialism and Marxism when I see it. I remember walking through the coffee houses on Telegraph Avenue watching the Marxist students holding court, smoking European cigarettes, wearing "little Lenin" hats and talking of the military complex and the corruption of capitalism.
These are the same people who now wear suits and work as midlevel government apparatchiks in the IRS, State Department, and Department of Justice. They target Americans who support the Constitution, small government, patriotism and free expression of Judeo-Christian philosophy.
We are faced with a disconnected and ineffective president. An attorney general that is as laughable as Sgt. Schultz, seeing nothing, hearing nothing, and knowing nothing; a White House press secretary who makes Baghdad Bob look like the source of all truth, and a former secretary of state who places optics ahead of action in her bid to be the next president of the United States.
Who knew that some 50 years later Joseph McCarthy could be seen as the Winston Churchill of our time?
