Car show Saturday will benefit Atwater Police Activities League

— Big Creek Lumber's sixth annual car show will be held Saturday at the company's Castle Business Park location. Proceeds from the show will benefit the Atwater Police Activities League and the Castle Air Museum.

Past shows have attracted more than 50 vintage vehicles at the 2050 Industrial Road site. Registration is limited to 1972 and earlier vehicles unless noted in classes.

Registration is from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., and the show lasts until 2 p.m. Awards will be announced at approximately 1 p.m. Awards will be given for classes, employees' choice and best of show.

Classes will include street rod, 1955-57 Chevrolet, Corvette, roadsters, muscle cars, trucks and motorcycles. Late-model Vipers, GTOs, Chargers, Challengers, Mustangs and Camaros are included in a special interest class.

Food, music, a bounce house, raffle and a silent auction will be held.
