The Merced Senior Community Center will hold a dance from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at 755 W. 15th St. Cost is $8. Call (209) 723-0839.

SPCA holds yard sale

The SPCA will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 31 and June 1 at 690 Bobwhite Court. It will feature gently used glassware, furniture, small appliances, exercise equipment and more. All proceeds will benefit the SPCA no-kill adoption center. Call (209) 384-7722 or (209) 723-8953.

Health fair for seniors

The Fall Prevention and Restorative Movement Health Fair for Seniors will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 1 at Applegate Park. There will be many demonstrations and lunch will be available for purchase. Call (209) 385-7550 or (209) 827-1960.

Mariposa alumni picnic

MARIPOSA — The Mariposa County High School Alumni Association will hold the 2013 annual Alumni Picnic on June 15 at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds. The picnic will begin mid-morning. Bring your own food, drinks, lawn chairs and stories to share. On June 16 there will be a no-host brunch at the Miners Roadhouse Inn Restaurant. All classes are welcome. Cell phones for seniors

The Merced County Area Agency on Aging is requesting the donation of unneeded cell phones for distribution to Merced County seniors age 60 and over. They should have a charging unit and a battery that will hold a charge. Call (209) 385-7550.
