Vic Hurlburt: Merced, as usual, supported vets

June 9, 2013

Recently, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 4327 conducted its Poppy drive in various venues around Merced. Donation sites were set up at Save Mart, Walgreens, Paul's Place, BBQ Pit, the U.S. Post Office and Richwood Meats. The continued generosity of Mercedians is heart warming, in view of the economy. They stepped up to the plate and honored our veterans, making Memorial Day even more special. The funds are used directly to support veterans in need. Thanks to all.
