Memorial Day weekend, as is usual, I retrieved my Army captain's uniform from my closet to wear both Sunday and Monday out of respect for all the service persons who have served in our military.
On Sunday I went to the Atwater Denny's restaurant for my dinner. When the waitress asked me If I were finished and would I like some dessert, I declined the dessert and said that I was ready for the check so as to pay my bill.
The waitress then informed me that there was no bill as another patron had already paid for my dinner.
I am writing this in hopes that the very thoughtful and generous patron perhaps will see and read this and know that their kindly deed really made my day.
Thank you so very much, whoever you may be, and may an old Irish Blessing be yours today:
May your troubles be less, your blessings be more, and nothing but happiness come through your door.
