Celebration set for Selma animal shelter

Selma city officials and the California Water Service invite the community to celebrate the new location of the Selma Animal Shelter.

The event, including the ribbon-cutting ceremony, will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 2831 W. Front St. in Selma.

Participants will get the chance to enjoy hot dogs, children's face painting, raffles, giveaways, educational talks by a professional pet trainer Jand informational booths. For pets, there will be a pet parade, a cutest and ugliest pet contest, pet photography and small pools to keep cool.
