Police: Man assaulted, wallet taken in Los Banos

— A 33-year-old man reported being assaulted and robbed of his wallet while walking on West I Street, police reported Thursday.

The incident happened around 4 a.m. Friday as the man walked in the 1600 block of West I Street.

The victim told officers the robbers were three males wearing dark- colored clothing. They were last seen running from the area, he said.

The man suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from Memorial Hospital Los Banos.

The robbers have not been located, according to police.
