Summer Music Series
The Merced Mall's seventh annual Summer Music Series is in full swing. Valley Harvest Church is offering a Summer Fun Enrichment Camp project for children in kindergarten through eighth grades who are having problems with reading, grammar, writing, math and science. The first 15 parents to register their child on Wednesday and Thursday at 750 Loughborough Drive will receive free tuition. The program starts on July 2 and goes through Aug. 1. Cell phones for seniors
The Merced County Area Agency on Aging is requesting the donation of unneeded cell phones for distribution to Merced County seniors age 60 and older. Seniors will be able to call 911 for emergency assistance only with these phones. They should have a charging unit and a battery that will hold a charge. Call (209) 385-7550.
Festival and fireworks
LIVINGSTON The Livingston Fourth of July Festival and Fireworks Show is back and will be held at Memorial Park and Livingston High School, with a carnival from July 4-7. It will be a fairlike atmosphere with a talent show, fireworks and carnival rides. Organizers are looking for acts for the talent show.
