Le Grand Farmers Market on Tuesdays

LE GRAND — The Le Grand Farmers Market will be on Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m., through Sept. 17, with entertainment from 8 to 9 p.m.

Merced water safety and swim lessons

The City of Merced Parks and Recreation is offering special water safety and swim lessons from July 8 to 18 and July 22 to Aug. 1 at the Merced High School pool, 205 W. Olive Ave. from 4 to 7 p.m. The Swim 4 Jaylin Scholarship Fund through United Way and First 5 of Merced County is offering the classes for $10 per session. Hawaiian Hula Hale workshop upcoming

Happy Trails Social Group to visit plant

ATWATER — The Happy Trails Social Group at Atwater Baptist Church will visit the Classic vinegar plant in Ceres on July 11. The tour will start at the church, 2124 First St. at 9:30 a.m. with a no-host lunch at Sizzler in Turlock. Everyone is invited. Call (209) 358-3693. Transportation will be provided.

Legal help available for homeless, disability

Central California Legal Services offers legal advice and representation to eligible individuals in tenant rights and homeless issues, Social Security and SSI Disability Claims, CalWorks, Medi-Cal, Unemployment and CalFresh (Food Stamp) cases and much more. Last Hope Cat Kingdomlooking for volunteers

Last Hope Cat Kingdom is looking for volunteers for their Saturday and Sunday adoption events at PetSmart. They bring cats and dogs in on those days for adoption specials and are in need of people to give an hour or two on one day to help get homes for these special pets.
