$600K pot operation reported in Delhi

— The Merced County Sheriff's Department reported finding an elaborate indoor marijuana operation Wednesday morning in the Delhi area.

Sgt. Kevin Blake and the sheriff's STAR Team served a search warrant at 8:15 a.m. at the residence in the 9000 block of Melinda Avenue, according to deputy Delray Shelton, sheriff's spokesman.

No arrests were made at the residence.

Shelton said the marijuana was about two weeks from harvest. Deputies found 200 pounds of high grade marijuana with a street value of about $600,000.
