Boosters sell fireworks

Southern gospel music

July 4th event planned

LIVINGSTON — The Livingston Fourth of July Festival and Fireworks Show is back and will be held at Memorial Park and Livingston High School. It will be a fair-like atmosphere, complete with a talent show, fireworks and carnival rides. Organizers are also looking for acts for the talent show. Class of '73 reunion

Livingston High School class of 1973 will hold its 40th anniversary reunion starting July 25 with finger food and pictures at 6:30 p.m. It will continue July 26 at 7 p.m. at Blueberry Hill Cafe in Livingston and July 27 at 7 p.m. at the Livingston Park. Customer service class

Merced College is partnering with the Greater Merced Chamber of Commerce to offer professional development training through the College's award-winning Customer Service Academy on Aug. 22 and 29 with morning and afternoon sessions at 630 W. 19th St. The cost is $23 per workshop and participants earn a half unit of college credit. Annual catfish dinner

LA GRANGE — The Lafayette Historical Lodge No. 65 will host its sixth annual catfish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 3 at the IOOF Hall on Main Street in La Grange. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. The price includes deep fried catfish fillets, cornbread, cole slaw, corn on the cob, a beverage and ice cream for dessert.
