The other morning at 9:30 a.m. we received a telephone call informing us that our power would be turned off between 11 and 1 o'clock that day because we had not paid our May bill.
When I told her that we had auto pay, she informed me that we must have changed our bank account, etc., and unless we paid this bill immediately our power would be shut off. I told her there had to be some mistake as my husband was a PG&E retiree. At that point she hung up.
We checked with our bank and the May payment was made. We also went to the Merced PG&E office and they had no record of any problem with our account. Is this another scam?
