Donating to the fallen

The Los Banos Fire Department is collecting donations to assist in funeral costs for the 19 firefighters from the Prescott Fire Department's Granite Mountain Hotshots team that were killed in an Arizona wildfire Sunday. Checks can be made out to Wildland Firefighter Foundation and dropped off at Fire Station No. 1 at 333 Seventh St.

Road closure scheduled

Badger Flat Road will be closed between Highway 152 and H Street starting Tuesday and ending July 26. There will be a detour set up using H and First streets.
