Happy Trails Social Group

ATWATER — The Happy Trails Social Group at Atwater Baptist Church will visit the Classic Vinegar plant in Ceres at 9:30 a.m. July 11. Merced Art Hop coming

Vacation Bible School

ATWATER — Atwater Baptist Church will hold its vacation bible school from 5:30 to 8 p.m., July 22-26, at the church, 2124 First St. All children starting kindergarten through sixth-grade are invited. The theme is Hallelujah Hoedown. For more information and pre-registration, call (209) 201-2496.

Hinds Hospice gala

Hinds Hospice will hold its annual gala on Sept. 27 at Vista Ranch and Cellars. Tickets are $75 per person. Sponsorship opportunities are available and all proceeds will benefit the Merced Hinds Hospice. Flag disposal at VFW

ATWATER — The Atwater VFW will properly dispose of any flags that are torn, soiled or tattered. Drop off flags at the post, 1390 Broadway. The VFW also holds a Hamburger Night every Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m., and provides wheelchairs and walkers at no charge to veterans in need. For details, call (209) 358-7224.
