Bill Burke: Greed is the culprit

July 14, 2013

The article in the Sun Star, 7/9/13 Perspective section, titled, "Detroit's Greek tragedy," is pure nonsense! The misery that has ruined Michigan, Detroit, Flint, Saginaw and a hundred other communities that supported the American auto industry, is due to Wall street/banks' greed, and the corrupt federal government that supports them, as they gave the American auto industry away to Japan, Korea, and so on. Henry Ford, I'm sure, is doing cartwheels in his grave.

Detroit earned the title as auto capital of the world, and it was just taken from it, thus trapping millions of citizens with no work. Especially hurt were women who had been making a living wage and saw it reduced to less then 40 hours, with no benefits. Detroit can never recover. What a disaster — all for Wall Street profits and CEO bonuses — and now global trade control and domination!

Detroit, Flint and Saginaw never had a chance.

Wake up citizens. Soon all of our children will be working for Wal-Mart that's clearly the plan.
