My family and I very much enjoyed the Atwater 4th of July parade and celebration, with one exception: Merced City Councilman Tony Dossetti's use of the "Women, Infants and Children" (WIC) office as a staging area for his campaigners.
I am not very political, but isn't using taxpayer resources for campaigns illegal? Is Dossetti reimbursing WIC for expenses incurred during the hours his campaign used their facilities? Who would have given the go-ahead to offer its use for campaign purposes?
This is very disturbing and makes me wonder what other local taxpayer abuses might be happening right under our noses.
