Around Town: Gloves Not Drugs Boxing Show set

LIVINGSTON — The first Gloves Not Drugs Boxing Show will be held at noon today in the Livingston High School gym. The tournament is sanctioned by USA Boxing, which is the governing body for amateur boxing in the United States. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students with ID. Kids 10 and under get in free. This is a family event and proceeds will benefit after-school programs.

Youth Volleyball Camp

HILMAR — The inaugural youth volleyball camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon today and Sunday in the Hilmar High School gym, 7807 Lander Ave. Cost is $40. For more, email silvatls91@gvni.com or go to www.velocityvolleyball. com.

Rebekahs breakfast

LA GRANGE — The La Grange Rebekahs will serve breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Sunday at the Odd Fellows Hall on Main Street. Tickets are $5. Snelling breakfast

SNELLING — The monthly Snelling breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. July 28 at the IOOF Hall. Pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs cooked to order, orange juice and coffee will be available for $5 for adults and $3 for children.

Rummage sale

LIVINGSTON — The Livingston United Methodist Church will hold its annual rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 2 and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 3 at 11695 Olive Ave. Call (209) 394-2264.

Art Hop fund-raiser

Water safety lessons

The city of Merced Parks and Recreation Department is offering water safety and swim lessons from Monday to Aug. 1 at the Merced High School pool, 205 W. Olive Ave. from 4 to 7 p.m. The Swim 4 Jaylin Scholarship Fund through United Way and First 5 of Merced County is offering the classes for $10 per session.
