Try a BMX Ride Night

ATWATER — Atwater PAL holds free BMX Ride Nights through October from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month at Veterans Park. Ages 6 to 17 are invited. Bikes and helmets are available at no charge.

Health, fitness classes

Merced College Community Services will hold its fall 2013 health and fitness classes starting in August. These include belly dance fitness, fencing for fun (Mariposa), yoga and water polo. For more on these and other Community Services activities, visit www. mercedcommunityservices. com.

Flapjack fund-raiser

Applebee's will hold a flapjack fund-raiser from 7 to 10 a.m. Aug. 3 at 1734 W. Olive Ave. Cost is $10 per person and proceeds will benefit Merced Area Crime Stoppers. Call (209) 761-5303.

"Day at the Casino"

The Italian Catholic Federation will hold a "Day at the Casino" on Aug. 8. A bus will leave at 9 a.m. from 23rd and M streets. The cost is $31 per person. There will be refreshments on the bus, a free raffle and bingo. Return at 3:30 p.m. Deadline for reserving a seat is Aug. 5. Call (209) 383-4819 or email natalinas@comcast.net.

Founder's Dinner set

LIVINGSTON — The Livingston Medical Group will hold a Founder's Dinner at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 15 at 1237 Main St. Cost is $20 per couple and includes chicken pasta dinner, social mixer, raffle prizes and a silent auction.
