Livingston panel opening

LIVINGSTON — The city of Livingston is accepting applications to fill one alternate commissioner vacancy on the Livingston Planning Commission. The term is four years or until successors are appointed. Commissioners meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. The deadline to turn in an application is 5 p.m. Aug. 9. MAGA golf tournament

Legal pros' fund-raiser

The Merced County Legal Professionals Association will hold its 30th annual fund-raiser from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sept. 14 at De Angelos. Tickets are $25 per adult and $10 for children 8 and younger. Flags for Warriors

The American Legion Auxiliary Merced Unit 83 is taking orders for Flags for Warriors. Flags will be posted at the veterans Memorial Hall on Labor Day and Veterans Day with an inscription in memory or in honor of your hero.
