Barbecue-auction coming up at lake

The 23rd annual Bill Kirby Western Barbecue-Auction will take place at 5 p.m. Sept. 10 at Lake Yosemite. Tickets are $40 per person and include dinner and music by Central California Events and Entertainment. Proceeds will benefit the Courthouse Museum programs and the Bill and Tom Kirby Agricultural Scholarships. Call (209) 723-2401.

Hinds Hospice looking for volunteers

VFW post offers various services to veterans

ATWATER — Atwater's Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9946 has been serving the needs of veterans and their families for more than 62 years and welcome any veteran whose service included combat or a combat operation.
