Senior center yoga classes on Tuesdays

Yoga classes by Joanne Rasmussen are given at the Merced Senior Center, 755 W. 15th St. on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Call (209) 385-8803.

Mental illness group holds support meetings

Merced County's branch of the National Alliance on Mental Illness holds bi-weekly support groups for families affected by serious mental illness. For more information, call (209) 381-6844 and a volunteer will contact you within 48 hours.

Merced farmers market open every Saturday

The Merced Flea and Farmers Market runs Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. behind the fairgrounds, 900 G St. EBT is accepted.

Senior legal services available at no cost

Central California Legal Services Inc. and Merced County provide free legal services to seniors. Clients must live in Merced County, be at least 60 years old and be U.S. citizens. Appointments are available in Dos Palos, Livingston, Los Banos, Atwater and Merced. Call (209) 385-7550.

Castle Air Museum in need of volunteers

ATWATER — The Castle Air Museum Foundation is a nonprofit organization and gets no government funding. If you are interested in the hours of operation, special events, guided tours for schools or clubs, or if you would like to volunteer, call (209) 723-2178.

Lions Club collecting glasses, hearing aids

The Merced Breakfast Lions Club maintains a series of drop-off locations for unused prescription eyeglasses or hearing aids. Drop them off at the offices of Drs. David Baba and Paul Smith, Save Mart at Olive & G streets or the optical departments at Costco or Wal-Mart.
