Hein chapter meeting

Concert benefits needy
MARIPOSA United Methodist Church will hold a piano concert at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, Sixth and Bullion streets. A suggested donation of $10 will help provide dinner and a safe place to sleep for Mariposa's neighbors in need.
Fund-raiser for soldiers
The Merced County Legal Professionals Association will hold its 30th annual fund-raiser from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sept. 14 at DeAngelo's restaurant. Tickets are $25 per adult and $10 for children 8 and younger. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warriors Project, and there will be a silent auction and raffle. Call (209) 617-3029.
