TODAY

"Looking Back," a youth documentary photography exhibit, holds its opening reception from 6-9 p.m. at Roger J. Wyan Photography Studio & Gallery, 1812 Canal Street, 2nd floor, Merced.

The Merced Flea and Farmers Market runs every Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. behind the fairgrounds, 900 G St. EBT is accepted.

The Merced County Certified Farmers Market is every Saturday through Dec. 11 on the corner of 19th and N streets, Merced. Hours are 8 a.m.-noon.

Flashback performs at the Star Club, 1331 W. Main St., Merced, from 9 p.m.-1 a.m.. There is no cover charge. You must be at least 21 years old to enter.

SUNDAY

The Valley Farmers Market is open every Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 2877 Atwater Blvd., Atwater. There are lots of vendors on site and EBT is accepted.

"We Three" will play dance favorites from 2-5 p.m. in the Merced Senior Community Center Ballroom 755 W 15th St. Cost is $8 per person. Doors open at 1 p.m. For more information, call (209) 723-0839.

MONDAY

Buhach Farmer's Market is open every Monday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 4814 Clover Avenue, Atwater. Take the Buhach Exit off Highway 99.

TUESDAY

The Merced Adult School will offer Zumba classes from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through Nov. 21 at 50 E. 20th St. Cost is $50, payable to Merced Adult School. Call (209) 777-8442.

Le Grand Certified Farmers Market runs from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays on Washington Street and Le Grand Road, next to Pizza Factory.

WEDNESDAY

The Merced AARP Chapter 282 will meet at 10 a.m. at the Merced Senior Center, 755 W. 15th St, for the annual indoor picnic. Tickets are $5 per person and must be purchased in advance; no tickets will be sold at the door. Call (209) 722-4782 or (209) 723-8766.

The Merced College Art Gallery will display "Life in Line," exhibit of drawing and wire sculpture by Evany Zirul through Sept. 5 with an artist reception at 6 p.m. Aug. 21 at the Theater Building at Merced College.

The R-Bar, 1603 V St., holds an 8-ball competition every Wednesday night. Sign-ups at 6 p.m., game starts at 7. Twenty players only, $5 buy-in.
