Snelling breakfast set

SNELLING — The monthly Snelling breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. Sunday at the IOOF Hall: pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs cooked to order, orange juice and coffee. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children.

Winton Harvest Festival

The Rotary Club of Winton will hold its Harvest Festival from 2 to 10 p.m. Sunday at the Merced County Fairgrounds. Come for food, beverages, dancing horses, singers and mariachi music. Proceeds benefit student scholarships for St. Anthony Elementary, Winton Middle and Atwater High schools. Admission is free until 4 p.m.

Church in the park

Ministry in the Park will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Applegate Park, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. Guest speaker will be Dr. Napoleon Washington. Also on tap will be music, popcorn, family and fun. Call (209) 722-7231.

Back to school night

ATWATER — Atwater High School will hold its back to school night from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the gym. Students and parents will be able to visit students' classrooms.

Advisory council to meet

The Franklin- Beachwood Municipal Advisory Council will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at 2936 Franklin Road, Room 21. Call (209) 381-5981.

Skimmers registration

Merced Saturday Aglow

Merced Saturday Aglow will play host to Alexandria Marquez at 10 a.m. on Sept. 7 at the Christian Life Center, 650 E. Merced ShakespeareFest

The 12th season of Merced ShakespeareFest will present "As You Like It" at Applegate Park, 26th and N streets, on Sept. 14, 15, 21 and 22, at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturdays, and at 5 p.m. on Sundays.
