Merced High 35th reunion

The Merced High School Class of 1978 will hold its 35-year reunion Oct. 19 at the Merced Golf and Country Club. Tickets are $37 per person. For more information, go to Merced High School Class of 1978.com.

Garden Club to meet

The Merced Garden Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Fish and Game Building at Lake Yosemite. A tea will honor past presidents. Speaker Adria Affirino’s topic is “Planting to attract Hummingbirds and Butterflies.” Call (209) 617-8119.

Blood drive at VFW

The Livingston-Delhi VFW Post 8327 will have a blood drive from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at 1605 Seventh St. Donate a pint of blood and receive a coupon for a meal served by the VFW and its Ladies Auxiliary. Call (209) 394-2059 or go to vfwlivingston.com.

Neuropathy support group

The Merced Peripheral Neuropathy Support Group will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Hoffmeister Center, 1920 Canal St. For more information, call (209) 358-2045.

Taquito plates at church

Rose of Sharon Church will be selling a taquito plate from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at 332 W. Eighth St. Tickets are $10 and include 10 taquitos, rice, beans, sour cream and homemade guacamole. We also deliver. Call (209) 631-4885.

Fair needs vendors

The Atwater First Church of the Nazarene needs vendors for its Craft Faire on Saturday. Set-up at 8 a.m., and fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, email afcn_craft_faire@yahoo.com.

Harvest of Hope

CASA of Merced County will hold its annual Harvest of Hope at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Los Banos Community Center, 645 Seventh St. CASA is a nonprofit organization that trains volunteers to provide support and advocacy for abused and neglected children in the foster care system in Merced County. Tickets are $35 each and include a Western barbecue dinner and music. For more information on tickets or how to become a CASA volunteer, call (209) 722-2272.

Time to Remember

Hinds Hospice Angel Babies invites you to its fifth annual Time to Remember Memorial Ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Applegate Park by the rose garden gazebo. The eventn is held in recognition of National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. Refreshments will be served. Call (209) 383-3123.
