MERCED — One of downtown Merceds major events Friday night will be a pub crawl.
The inaugural DLM Restaurant and Pub Crawl will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. in Bob Hart Square on West Main Street. DLM founder Tom Price said attendees can bounce from location to location, tasting the best food and drinks Merced has to offer.
Price said 100 tickets have been sold, and he is expecting 200 patrons to sample food and drink from more than a dozen bars and restaurants. Tickets are $20 each or $68 for a group of four.
The purpose of the pub crawl is to get participants to sample signature dishes, craft beer and cocktails, perhaps discovering new dining spots and making new friends as well, Price said.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Playhouse Merced and the Merced County Arts Council.
Your mission is to sample all of the deliciousness downtown has to offer, Price said.
Individuals can purchase tickets online at http://mercedcrawl.brownpapertickets.com. Attendees must bring their printed-out ticket to the DLM booth in Bob Hart Square to be redeemed for a pub crawl passport with a list of participating establishments.
