Stanford, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Chasson Randle scored a game-high 21 points, leading four players in double figures, as the Stanford Cardinal cruised to a 92-60 win over the South Dakota State Jackrabbits in a regional round game of the Legends Classic at Maples Pavilion.
Anthony Brown accounted for 19 points and eight rebounds for the Cardinals (6-2), followed by Josh Huestis and Stefan Nastic with 13 and 10 points, respectively.
The Jackrabbits (3-6) were led by Jordan Dykstra who produced 20 points, while Brayden Carlson pitched in with 16 as the team lost for the second time in as many outings.
Stanford opened the meeting on a 13-0 run and never looked back, maintaining a double-digit lead for the duration and taking a commanding 58-24 lead into the break after the Jackrabbits made a total of just nine field goals through the first 20 minutes of action.
After shooting a sizzling 66.7 percent from the floor in the opening frame, the Cardinal cooled to 47.6 percent in the second half, but picked up some added points at the free-throw line where they were 12-of-17, en route to the lopsided 32-point victory.
SDSU finished the first-ever meeting between the programs with just 33.8 percent accuracy from the floor, including 6-of-25 (.240) beyond the arc.
