More than 25 arrested by Los Banos police during compliance check

Over three days, the Los Banos Police Department conducted a combination of compliance checks of state parolees and adults on Merced County probation and individuals released under California’s state prison realignment.

In one incident, police said, officers arrested John Fipps, 48, while conducting a compliance check at his residence in the 600 block of Pismo Way. Officers reported locating a shotgun and ammunition at his residence. Fipps is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing or having access to firearms, police said.

A second incident, on Tuesday, in the 1500 Block of Tanner Road, involved the arrest of Cristobal Munguia, 18, after police located a sawed-off rifle and a shotgun at his residence.

The three days of compliance checks took place Nov. 26-27 and Tuesday. The following individuals were placed under arrest:

Clinton Climer, 31, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance; Aaron Wiley, 32, on suspicion of possession of illegal narcotic; Kyle Ebert, 34, on suspicion of possession of illegal narcotics; Joe Baker, 30, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance; Shawn Longacer, 27, for an outstanding arrest warrant; Hector Esparza, 57, on suspicion of violating post release and sex offender conditions; Sean Rios, 46, for an outstanding arrest warrant; Alfonso Garcia, 21, for an arrest warrant; Rodolfo Rosales, 30, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance; Victor Molina, 31, on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia; Jennifer Merrell, 39, on suspicion of violation of parole conditions; Eddie Ordunez, 47, on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia; David Faulk, 27, for an outstanding arrest warrant; Miguel Corral, 29, on suspicion of possession of illegal narcotics; Jamie McClane, 31, on suspicion of possession of illegal narcotics; John Fipps, 48, on suspicion of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; Julian Robles, 27, on suspicion of possession of an illegal dagger and violation of probation conditions; Anatoly Makarowski, 23, for violation of parole conditions and having an outstanding arrest warrant; Cristobal Munguia, 18, on suspicion of weapons violations and participation in a criminal street gang; Angel Espinoza, 30, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance; Justin Mevi, 52, on suspicion of possession of controlled substance, violation of probation; Michael Love, 58, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation; Delia Subia, 41, on suspicion of a probation violation; Craig Longacre, 29, on suspicion of a probation violation; David Carreras, 22, on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale; Mario Carreras, 27, on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale, manufacture of controlled substance, child endangerment, violation of probation; and Chelsie Vigil, 25, on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale, manufacture of controlled substance, child endangerment.

“We plan on continuing these compliance checks ,” Cmdr. Ray Reyna Jr. said.
