Knoxville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan McRae scored 21 points while Josh Richardson and Jarnell Stokes netted 20 apiece, as the Tennessee Volunteers put together an 87-52 rout of the Virginia Cavaliers in non-conference action at Thompson-Boling Arena.
McRae and Richardson combined to shoot 7-of-8 from 3-point range for Tennessee (8-4), while Stokes was 12-of-14 from the free-throw line. Antonio Barton added 14 points for the Vols, who have won back-to-back games.
For Virginia (9-4), which shot just 32.7 percent from the field, Justin Anderson and Mike Tobey poured in 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Tennessee ran out to a commanding 48-26 lead at intermission, outshooting Virginia from the field in the first half, 57.7 percent to 32.1 percent.
The Vols' field goal efficiency regressed to 42.9 percent after halftime, but the outcome was never in doubt, as they led by as many as 37 points down the stretch.
The Cavaliers were just 2-of-12 from beyond the arc on the evening and lost the turnover battle, 12-6.
