Merced Women’s Club

Merced Women’s Club monthly meeting and luncheon will be held at noon Tuesday at 707 W. 22nd Street. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. for socializing. Cost is $8. Call (209) 384-5880 for reservations. This month’s speaker is Sarah Lim, director of the Courthouse Historical Museum.

Neuropathy support group

The Merced Peripheral Neuropathy Support Group will meet from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hoffmeiser Center, 1920 Canal St., Merced. An open forum discussion will be held, with informational handouts available. For more information, call Larry Frice at (209) 358-2045.

Pro-Life Speech Contest

Merced County United for Life will host its annual Pro-Life Speech Contest from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 19 at the Creekside Evangelical Free Church, 2876 G St. Keynote speaker Josh Brahm will be joined by Bella and Angelica Ayala, who founded Buhach Colony High School’s “Defenders for Life” club. Odd Fellows breakfast

The La Grange Odd Fellows will hold their breakfast at the IOOF Hall in downtown La Grange from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 12. The new and improved menu includes biscuits and gravy, sausage, potatoes, French toast and eggs, with a wide choice of omelet ingredients. Complimentary coffee and orange juice round out the meal, all for $6. The 1881 vintage Odd Fellows Hall is located on the main street of La Grange, which is Highway 132, just east of its intersection with Highway J-59. For more information, call (209) 853-2128.
